It took about 6 days to germinate, however we experienced a cold spell ( April time frame in USDA Hardiness Zone 7), and I missed a couple days of watering. This is growing in with a nice density and a medium texture. This uses all perennial grass seed, mostly Fescue and does not have filler material, so you are getting more seed, but a straw or matting is recommended along with starting off with raking of the soil to keep the soil moist.I used this to grow grass in a new section of my yard where I removed ivy ground cover, and this is growing on a slope and have not noted any erosion of the soil.
